Plymouth City Council to Consider Ordinance Prohibiting Parking in Front Yards

Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi presented information to the City Council last week concerning a discussion held by the Planning Commission that deals with residents parking vehicles in front yards that is not on a surface that is ideal for parking.

He said the Planning Commission members seem to believe that the practice is unsightly and requested that the City Council members consider drafting an ordinance that addresses it.

There are specific instances that would regulate that type of parking. Surrisi said he will be looking at ordinances in other communities to see what could best fit the City of Plymouth.

More discussion on the matter is anticipated at the next Plymouth City Council meeting next week.
