Plymouth BOW Opens Demolition Bids

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members opened bids for the demolition of an unsafe building at 701 W. Lake Ave. last week.

Three bids were received with the lowest bid coming from Langfeldt Excavating LLC at $12,900.  Other bids were submitted by Beaver Excavating in the amount of $14,350 and Jackson Demolition Services Enterprise LLC at $15,900.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi asked that the board approve the lowest responsible bid amount.  It will be reviewed by Surrisi and Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds.  If all of the paperwork is deemed acceptable, Langfeldt Excavating LLC will be awarded the bid.  The board members approved a motion to that effect.

Demolition of the structure is anticipated to take place yet this fall.
