South Bend Woman Injured in Marshall County Crash

A South Bend woman was injured in a head-on collision just after midnight in Marshall County on Wednesday.

Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department say that 22-year-old Megan Wagner was traveling east on 4th Road east of Tamarack Road when her vehicle left the north side of the roadway for unknown reasons.  Wagner’s vehicle struck a utility pole head-on.

Wagner was transported to the hospital for the treatment of her injuries which weren’t listed in the report.  She was the only person in the car at the time of the accident.

Police believe that alcohol may be a factor in the crash.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Walkerton EMS, Polk Fire, Marshall County REMC, and Reichert and Knepp Wrecker Service.
