Marshall County Election Board Getting Ready for General Election

The Marshall County Election Board members are looking toward the General Election and getting some things in order prior to Nov. 3.

Marshall County Clerk Deb VanDeMark said she will be working with the Republican Party Chairman and the Democratic Party Chairman to start getting poll workers for the election.  The board members want to be sure to have all of the Vote Center locations open in November.  A few Vote Centers had to close for the June Primary Election due to lack of poll workers.

VanDeMark commented that both Bremen locations need to be open, especially with the Bremen Public Schools’ referendum question on the ballot.

Additionally, VanDeMark suggested having the second absentee board available on Election Day to assist with ballots as the extra set of people helped tremendously during the Primary Election.  Another set of board members may be brought in depending on the amount of absentee ballots coming into the office for the election.
