Marshall County Council to Meet Today

The Marshall County Council members will discuss the 2021 budget when they meet this morning.  They have been meeting with department heads to discuss needs and potential budget cuts.  The council will trim down the budget prior to its advertising in this morning’s meeting.  Prior to those discussions, Auditor Julie Fox will review the estimated property tax levy and the estimated impact of the circuit breaker.

In other business, Chief Probation Officer James Bendy will talk about the CARES Act and a grant application request, and Sheriff Matt Hassel will present the 2020 jail report and biannual commissary report.  EMA Director Clyde Avery will request permission to apply for the 2020 EMPG Salary Reimbursement Grant, Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Director Doug Masterson will review additional costs, and Linda Rippy from the Marshall County Historical Society will discuss part-time clerical funding.

Additional appropriation and transfer requests will also be considered.

The Marshall County Council meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
