The Culver Town Council members will meet Tuesday night to discuss several items.
They will continue a discussion on a speed bump request on Chadwick Shores, look at a potential utility relief program for the larger businesses in town similar to what was offered to small businesses, and receive updates on the local Stellar Communities Designation projects and the county Stellar projects.
The council members will make an appointment to the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Board, review a request to place a sign in the public right-of-way, and look at a proposed water tower lease agreement with the Culver Community School Corporation.
The first reading of an ordinance that amends salaries is anticipated, along with the first reading of an ordinance restating parking regulations. Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman requested a parking change along Lake Shore Drive to accommodate an anticipated increase in parents dropping off and picking up students at the Culver Community Elementary School. There will be no parking on Lake Shore Drive in front of the school from 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., between 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. There will be no parking on Fridays during the school year from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In other business, department heads will also provide regular reports along with boards and commissions representatives. The Culver Town Council will meet in person tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET in a basement meeting room at the Culver-Union Township Public Library and virtually on Microsoft Teams.
