A contractor to complete work on the Bremen downtown revitalization project was selected by the Bremen Town Council Monday afternoon.

The lowest bidder was R. Yoder Construction with a bid of $1,100,200 for new sidewalks, curbs, lighting, and other beautification efforts in the downtown area.  Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said that this part of the project should begin next week and the contractor has 75 days to complete the construction.

The Town of Bremen was awarded a grant through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs for this project through the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Initiative.

The contractor can begin work after the contracts are signed and grant funds are released.
