One of the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Initiatives projects will break ground in July.
An area known as Pond Park will get a significant upgrade thanks to grant funds through Marshall County’s designation as a Regional Stellar Community. Park Board President Ed Barcus stated that a gazebo, picnic shelter area, seating, a bridge to the small island, restrooms, parking, fishing dock, and small playground equipment will be included in this project.
There will be a time when the Argos Park Board members will be seeking help from residents in renaming Pond Park, which is unofficial name of the space.
The park updates are expected to be done later this fall.
Another upcoming Stellar project in Argos is a downtown revitalization project. Argos officials are working on obtaining the Speedway property to move forward with plans in that area.
