The Culver Town Council members will continue a discussion on the Chamber of Commerce fireworks show when they meet tonight.
They denied a special event permit request submitted by the Chamber members last week by a majority vote, but agreed to provide emergency services coverage in case there happens to be a large amount of people at the Culver Town Park. The fireworks show can still occur if the DNR grants a permit request.
The second and third reading of an ordinance that amends the organization of the Culver Police Department will be considered.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist will have updates on town activities, plus updates on the Stellar Communities Designation projects for the Town of Culver and projects within the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities Initiative.
Members from various boards and commissions will also have updates for the council.
Tonight’s Culver Town Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be held on a Microsoft Teams virtual platform.
