The Marshall County Commissioners will meet in person today on the first day the Marshall County Building opens up to the public. It’s the first time since mid-March the public has been allowed in the building due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Jackie Wright with Older Adult Services will be in with her annual request for the commissioners’ support for the INDOT Transit application.
A public hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. for the Broadband Planning study. Grant writer Shannon McLeod from Priority Project Resources will be at the meeting to present information. At 9:30 a.m. Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will open bids for the Community Crossings Matching Grant project on Michigan Road. The project will consist of resurfacing from the roundabout to 3rd Road north of Plymouth.
Jim Hulse will discuss gun laws.
Peters will give his report to the commissioners along with Building Commissioner Chuck DeWitt who will have an update on permits and registrations. County Attorney Jim Clevenger and County Auditor Julie Fox will present their regular reports as well.
The commissioners will take action to ratify resolutions and to make appointments to the newly formed Park and Recreation Board.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
