The Marshall County Health Department will have a temporary health officer until Dr. Byron Holm can return to the post.
Health Administrator Ashley Garcia asked the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday morning to ratify the appointment of Co-Health Officer Dr. Joel Schumacher. The appointment was made due to an unexpected health issue.
Garcia stressed that the appointment was temporary.
The commissioners ratified the appointment with a unanimous vote.
