Marshall County Commissioners Extend Public Health Emergency Declaration to May 22

Marshall County continues to extend its public health disaster emergency. A resolution signed by the county commissioners Friday keeps the emergency declaration in effect until May 22.

It’s been in effect since March 20. The declaration allows the county to be reimbursed for certain expenses related to the COVID-19 response.

Meanwhile, an updated executive order from Marshall County Health Officer Dr. Byron Holm requires all law enforcement personnel in the county to wear masks and gloves and keep six feet of distance when dealing with the public, if possible. It also prohibits face-to-face visits at the jail.

That order also remains in effect until May 22.
