The Bremen Trash Days event this past weekend was a success.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the Bremen Town Council members Monday afternoon that the two-day event was a little larger than last year with a few more containers filled. The governor’s stay-at-home order had a lot of residents doing some spring cleaning and ridding their homes of large unwanted items. Weldy commented that two speed boats were dropped off as trash.
Weldy reported that no accidents occurred and only one complaint was filed. He had to remind a resident that those who live within the town limits can participate in the event.
The Bremen Trash Days event is offered once a year to Bremen residents as a way to collect items that aren’t normally taken by the garbage contractor.
