The Marshall County Commissioners took action Friday morning to extend the county’s Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration.
The declaration allows the county to be reimbursed for funds spent in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Residents in the county remain directed to comply with necessary emergency measures, cooperate with public officials and disaster service forces in extending emergency operation plans, and to obey and comply with the lawful direction of properly identified officers.
The first declaration was signed on March 20 and has been extended every week since that point. The commissioners anticipate waiting to see what action the governor takes next week concerning the state’s declaration.
