Bourbon Downtown Improvement Project Begins

Work started Friday on the Town of Bourbon’s Downtown Improvement Project.

Town employees worked on installing the new water source with excavation planned for new concrete.  Water and Wastewater Superintendent Steve Stacy and Street Superintendent Roger Terry and their crews are working on the project.

The area that formerly housed a pharmacy will be transformed into a more user friendly downtown attraction where it will be easier for residents and visitors to attend the Farmer’s Market and other downtown events once the Public Health Disaster Emergency is lifted.

Bourbon Town Council President Ward Byers, who provided the photos, says this is just a starting point for new opportunities and events for the Town of Bourbon.
