Plymouth City Council Considers Economic Revitalization Area Resolutions for CTE Solutions

The Plymouth City Council members were presented with resolutions concerning the beginning stages of the tax abatement process for Culver Tool and Engineering, Inc., or CTE Solutions.

Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Jerry Chavez said an expansion project is planned at the Walter Glaub address.  He said in one resolution, there is a request to declare certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area.  In this resolution, the real estate investment is about $1.950 million with an investment of $6.5 million in equipment and machinery.

In a separate resolution, the request includes the declaration of certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area with a $650,000 investment in property or real estate and $1.2 million for machinery and equipment.

CTE Solutions Owner Wade Berger said he’s been able to add more jobs as the business expands.

“We went through quite a large expansion last year by purchasing the Auto Park building and renovating it and adding 20,000-plus square feet of manufacturing,” commented Berger. “With that, I believe we saw 26 percent growth last year without that facility in production.  This year has been pretty heavy as well with more to come.”

He added that they’re trying to get ahead of the demand.

The Plymouth City Council members approved the resolutions with a unanimous vote.
