Paperwork and plans are in the process to build three new apartment buildings on Woodies Lane in Bremen.
The buildings would be located north of the current facilities to offer more housing. Two buildings will offer 12, two bedroom apartments and one building that will house 12 single bedroom apartments.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the Bremen Town Council members last week that the Board of Zoning Appeals members approved a variance for the structures to be a bit taller to accommodate ADA needs.
He said there were several residents in attendance at the BZA meeting where concerns were addressed concerning water run-off, light pollution, and people walking through their yards. It was explained that the water issue pertains to issues with the way Collier Street was installed.
More discussion needs to be held with the Technical Review Committee before the project plans continue.
