MCEDC Taking Time to Visit Businesses to Help Strengthen Economy

Officials from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation are working to strengthen the Marshall County economy by initiating the BEAR program.

They say the Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) program is a formal industry standard questionnaire to understand the business climate in Marshall County and the status of the local economy.

One-on-one interviews will give an insight on how improvements can impact local industry.  Such interviews have revealed workforce readiness issues and possible solutions, also why current employers are located in Marshall County and what advantages or disadvantages they face.

The process can also help understand why employees may or may not be moving to Marshall County.

MCEDC leaders will visit business and industry officials in the City of Plymouth and the towns of Lapaz, Bremen, Culver, Argos, and Bourbon.
