Marshall County Commission President Kevin Overmyer signed a resolution Tuesday afternoon that calls for the emergency closure of all county facilities until April 6.
This closure is in response to Governor Holcomb’s order for Hoosiers to stay at home and provide only essential governmental functions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Employees providing essential governmental functions will remain in service to the community.
In the resolution, the county commissioners, with the assistance of elected officials, judges, and department heads, will determine the essential employees who will be required to work or telecommute during this emergency closing. If an employee is required to work, the employee shall minimize exposure to fellow employees.
Employees directed to stay at home during the closure will be paid their normal compensation.
