The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss a grant for the position of a Jail Program Director. He presented similar information to the county council members last week.
Jail Maintenance Director John Greer will talk more about the unit controls for the jail rooftop heating and cooling units. Sheriff Hassel explained to the county council members last week that updated controls are needed to run the new rooftop units ready to be installed at the jail. The quote received from Controls Solutions, Inc. is almost $33,000. The council did support a transfer request for that amount with the official paperwork to be approved in April.
In other business today, the commissioners will review information surrounding the clock tower renovation at the Marshall County Courthouse with Kurt Garner who is a clock tower study member, and Neil Hoerstman from Rowland Design.
An ordinance establishing the Marshall County Park and Recreation Department will also be up for discussion.
Regular reports will be given by Highway Superintendent Jason Peters, County Attorney Jim Clevenger and Auditor Julie Fox.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet this morning at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
