Marshall County Commissioners Extend Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration

The Marshall County Commissioners have approved a resolution on Friday that extends the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration for seven more days.  The first declaration was put into place on Friday, March 20.

Commission President Kevin Overmyer previously said that an emergency exists in an attempt to protect the lives of residents in Marshall County.

The declaration allows the county to document any expenses spent during the emergency to be reimbursed.

The Marshall County Building, Marshall County Courthouse and Annex are closed to employees and public while the Marshall County Health Department office is closed to the public.

The Bourbon Town Council members are expected to meet in emergency session on Monday night with the anticipation to approve a similar measure.  The town’s public health emergency resolution is set to expire that day.
