Culver Town Council members reviewed a proposed revised contract from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Tuesday night.
During their last meeting, they voted to withdraw their contribution of $10,000 in a contract with the MCEDC, but they decided to discuss the matter further in a work session on Tuesday.
With that, Council Member Rich West said he wanted to make clear that the Culver Redevelopment Commission and the Town of Culver will have standalone contracts. Previously, the Town had a contract with an agreement to hold the CRC as an addendum to that contract. The council chose to separate the two with specific deliverables for each entity.
In the revised contract, West noted that the Town’s deliverables would include business attraction services, Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) services, entrepreneurship hub services, and workforce development services.
The Culver Town Council members approved the contract. Council President Ginny Bess Munroe recused herself from the vote with affirmative votes given from the remaining council members.
