The Bourbon Town Council members welcomed two new members to the council Tuesday night.
Two Triton School Corporation students were recently chosen to join the Bourbon Town Council as non-voting members by members of the Triton Student Council, Triton Senior Squad, and the staff of the Triton Junior/Senior High School.
Bourbon officials say that students Bryan Ulloa and Hadassah Chupp will provide insight into the needs of the youth in the Town of Bourbon, and creating programs and community service projects while engaging the youth of the community.
Bourbon Town Council Member Les McFarland stated in a press release that the council members are excited to learn from the youth of the community and “build on their ideas and visions for Bourbon”.
A Youth Council Member will be chosen annually by the Triton School Staff to serve alongside the Bourbon Town Council members.
