Argos Town Council Approves Resolutions during Emergency Meeting

The Argos Town Council members approved two resolutions during an emergency meeting held Wednesday afternoon.

One resolution allows Council President George Null to approve claims and to declare essential employees and temporary work guidelines for staff.  Employees will continue to be paid normal wages.  Meetings may be postponed that may be non-essential to basic operations of the town.

Public access to all town buildings and facilities is restricted.

All town utility late fees for March, April and May will be waived and all utility disconnect orders will be postponed until June 15.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney will be able to pay essential bills when approved by the town council president.

A separate resolution pertains to guidelines employees should follow concerning sick time and vacation time used.  All out-of-state travel is restricted for the next 45 days.
