The water tower in Argos may soon undergo some maintenance.
Utility Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom told the Argos Town Council members last week that he is looking to have the outside of water tower cleaned. The quote is for $5,000 to power wash the outside of the tank to improve the overall look of the structure.
Lindstrom will also seek quotes to paint the water tower by the company who is expected to do the power wash work. For now, he just wants to touch-up the paint. That will help to preserve maintenance for a few more years.
A complete repainting of the tower is expected to cost around $150,000 to $200,000. The company will give a timeline as to when that work will need to be done so the funds can be budgeted.
