Triton Community School Corporation staff members and Superintendent Jeremy Riffle interviewed students this week who will serve as Bourbon Town Council youth members.
The idea behind the move is allow the student to learn about town governments and local municipalities. It also gives the student an opportunity to represent the Triton student body. As a member of the younger generation within the community, that student can help come up with creative ideas involving youth to be considered by town officials.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said there were four students who completed applications in the program. Interviews were held this week and a junior and senior delegate will be selected to represent the school corporation on the town council.
