The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will resume discussions on solar and solar fee ordinances.
The commissioners asked the Marshall County Plan Commission to review certain aspects of solar farms including contamination and decommissioning before they would consider additional readings on the ordinances. Plan Director Ty Adley will bring those ordinances before the commissioners again today along with an ordinance that outlines a moratorium on development of solar farms and another on erosion control.
In other business today, EMA Director Clyde Avery will present his quarterly report as well as a promulgation of the County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
Treasurer Angie Birchmeier will request extended hours for this year’s property tax collection, Clerk Deb VanDeMark will discuss the park board, and Community Corrections Director Ward Byers has information concerning a vehicle purchase.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters and Auditor Julie Fox will present their regular reports while County Attorney Jim Clevenger will present the Polycom Maintenance Renewal as well as information in his regular report to the commissioners.
The commissioners will meet this morning at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
