Plymouth Man Injured in Monday Afternoon Crash

A Plymouth man reportedly sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday afternoon.

Indiana State Police say 54-year-old George Piper was driving northbound on U.S. 31 near 11th Road in Marshall County when he lost control and ran off the side of the road.  Piper’s GMC, which was pulling a trailer loaded with a Ford Ranger, rolled onto the driver’s side in a ditch that had about 2.5 feet of water in it, according to the report.

Police say Piper was quickly pulled from the vehicle by an Indiana State Police DES detective who was on the scene moments after the crash.  He was transported to a local hospital with injuries not expected to be life threatening.

The Indiana State Police was assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire and EMS and Lyons Towing.
