The Marshall County Council members will consider the second reading on two documents pertaining to the proposed jail expansion project when they meet this morning.
A public hearing is also planned concerning the ordinances that outline the sale of General Obligation Bonds for the proposed project and an additional appropriation ordinance that would give the county permission to spend the bond money on the proposed project.
Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel will present his 2020 contract to the council which is the same contract approved by the commissioners last week.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will discuss the county’s financial match toward his proposed project for INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Program while Commissioner Stan Klotz will review the county’s vehicle purchases and the contract with Telemon.
Additional appropriation and transfer requests will be considered along with salary ordinance amendments for WIC and the Probation Department. The council will also reorganize for the new year.
The Marshall County Council will meet at 9 a.m. today in the second floor meeting room (room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
