Marshall County Commissioners Vote to Complete Sale of Land for Manufacturing Center

The Marshall County Commissioners recently approved the sale of land at 2809 Jim Neu Drive in Plymouth for a manufacturing center and they took another step forward this week in the process.

The commissioners approved a motion Monday morning to allow Commission President Kevin Overmyer to sign the deed to complete the sale.  The sale is part of a partnership with the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation that will result in the construction of another manufacturing center in Plymouth on 10 acres.  MCEDC officials plan to pay about $264,000 for the land.

A 50,000 square foot facility is anticipated to be built on that property.  In previous discussions concerning manufacturing centers, the building is basically a shell and allows a company to customize it to its needs.

Construction may begin this summer.

Two other manufacturing centers are occupied in the county.  Pretzels, Inc. in Plymouth filled the first of this type of building in Marshall County.  Another was built in Argos in 2018 and recently occupied by Sequel Wire and Cable.
