The Marshall County Commissioners are looking forward to what’s happening in the county in 2020.
Commissioner Stan Klotz is ready to go, as he indicated during the last commissioners’ meeting of the year on Tuesday morning.
“I’m looking forward to next year and I know we have a lot of things on the plate and a lot of things that need to be done,” said Klotz. “I’m looking forward to getting some of this stuff done.”
Commission President Kevin Overmyer said there are quite a few projects on the horizon, especially with the county’s Stellar designation.
“We all came together as a county, city, towns, townships, and private organizations to achieve that and now the work starts,” commented Overmyer. “We have a lot of things looking at us next year with the jail, clock tower, morgue, and the fourth court which will mean we’ll have to do some moving of some offices over at the courthouse if that is so ordered by the State of Indiana. There’s just a lot of good things going on in Marshall County right now.”
He also noted that with the work done by the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation in 2019, 2020 could be even better.
