Bremen Town Council Considers Tax Abatement

A Bremen company will expand equipment following a tax abatement request on Monday.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the town council members that John Stoller from Summit Manufacturing submitted a request for a personal tax abatement.

“Mr. Stoller had bought about $65,000 worth of new equipment and is asking for a personal property tax abatement,” commented Weldy.  “He’s not creating any new jobs.  He’s just upgrading his equipment to stay faster in the game.”

Summit Manufacturing specializes in prototypes and production work for the medical, heavy equipment, and transportation industries.

The Bremen Town Council members voted unanimously to approve the request.
