Argos Town Council Reorganizes for New Year

The Argos Town Council organized for the New Year when members met for their first meeting of the year last Wednesday.

No changes were made to council’s officers, with George Null retaining his position of President and Charles Randy Snead staying on as Vice President.

Council members also took action to retain Derek Jones as their Town Attorney.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney was re-appointed to the position of utility clerk and Mark VanderWeele will once again serve as Economic Development Director.

The department liaisons were determined as well.

Shawn Harley will continue serving as the liaison for the Police Department and President Null is still representing the Fire Department. Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney noted that Harley serves as the president of the Police Commission and Null is a member of the Fire Department, which makes them ideal candidates for those liaison positions.

Meanwhile, Vice President Snead will be the liaison for the EMS Department and will split responsibility for the Utilities Department with Councilman Harley. New members Erica Partin and Mary Gibson will be the liaisons for the Park Board and Redevelopment Commission, respectively.
