Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will be submitting two bridge projects for INDOT’s 2025 Call for Projects.
He previously told the Marshall County Council members that he would like to include Veteran’s Parkway as a part of the list for the Call for Projects. During that meeting in November, Peters explained that the proposed project would extend Veteran’s Parkway in Plymouth. The two-mile stretch would go from North Michigan Street to Oak Road to Pine.
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer discussed the project with the Plymouth City Council members for consideration last week, but they held off on making a decision.
Peters told the commissioners this week that he decided not to include the Veteran’s Parkway project in the 2025 Call for Projects.
The proposed application will include Bridge No. 232 on Randolph Street as originally planned and Bridge No. 11 on North Union Road over the Sarber Ditch. Peters said both are in dire need of replacement. He added that it’s not common that both projects would receive funding, but he will submit them for consideration.
