Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters reviewed with the county commissioners what projects will be included in the 2025 INDOT Call for Projects.
In a report submitted to the commissioners that was read by Commission President Kevin Overmyer, Bridge No. 11 on Union Road North over the Peter Sarber Ditch south of U.S. 6 and Bridge No. 232 on Randolph Street in Plymouth will be submitted for potential funding in 2025.
In the January call for projects for INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program, Peters plans to submit work on North Michigan Street from the roundabout to 3A Road in Plymouth. Core samples were taken on Wednesday and quotes will be taken for a mill and fill. Peters hopes that funding will take the project all the way to 3A Road. The county can apply for up to $1 million in this round. If the county is not successful, another opportunity to apply will be available in July.
