Two road cut requests were submitted for consideration by the Marshall County Commissioners from the East Shore Corporation.
Members of the East Shore Corporation are looking to initiate an East Shore Conservancy District to alleviate an issue with the failure of the wetland disbursement system in the area north of 18th Road in Culver. About 100 residential homes would hook up to a system where a force main would feed waste from those homes into the Town of Culver’s Wastewater Treatment Facility. An agreement between the town and the East Shore Corporation for this action is still in the discussion stage.
The first request was for a road bore on Queen Road between 18B and 18th Roads. The bore would assist in the installation of a 6-inch force main about 730 feet north of 18B Road west of road pavement in the county’s right-of-way. The second request was for a road bore on Queen Road between west 18th Road north to State Road 10 for the same project.
The requests were approved with a unanimous vote.
