Retired John Glenn School Buses to Be Used for Training

Three retired school buses at the John Glenn School Corporation will be used for training purposes.

According to Recording Secretary Lisa Sleek, the Walkerton Lincoln Fire Territory will use the buses for necessary emergency training.  The three buses were being used for parts at the time the board decided to deem them surplus for the donation.

In other business, High School Principal William Morton noted that the Falloween event collected a $50,000 profit to be used for student scholarships.  The Purdue Glee Club, who held a recent performance at the high school, agreed to donate $5,000 toward Falloween to bring the figure up to the $50,000 mark to benefit students.
