Marshall County Election Board Certifies Absentee Ballots

The Marshall County Election Board members took action Monday afternoon to certify the absentee ballots received for the Municipal General Election.

In all, there were 275 walk-in votes in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office, 93 mail-in absentee votes and 98 votes collected by Travel Board.  Voters were able to vote early on two Saturdays at a satellite polling location in Culver where 63 total votes were collected.

Nine mail-in ballots remain outstanding and if they are delivered to the Clerk’s Office on time, they will be counted when the absentee ballots are tabulated at the end of Election Day.

Out of 7,753 eligible voters, 529 early ballots were recorded as received.

The polls are open today from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Matchett Center in Bourbon, Culver Depot, Lapaz Fire Station, Knights of Columbus in Plymouth, and the National Guard Armory in Plymouth.  The towns of Argos and Bremen will not have a Municipal General Election.
