The Culver Town Council members will meet tonight where they will open demolition bids for the former City Tavern building at 415 Lake Shore Drive.
The building at that property suffered a fire there last month and has been under an unsafe building demolition order for about a year which was contested by the owner, Scotty Van Hawk and the 27 Group. Oral arguments in that appeal were heard Oct. 28 in a hearing in Indianapolis. An update will be given during tonight’s meeting.
An update will also be given concerning the progress of the creation of an East Shore Conservancy District. In addition, the council members will review Culver Stellar Communities Designation Program projects.
Department heads plan to inform council members on projects and other happenings occurring in the town as the year is drawing to an end.
The Culver Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street.
