Argos Town Council Votes to Stick with Current Health Insurance Plan

The Argos Town Council voted to stick with their current health insurance plan when members met for their first meeting of the month.

The Town of Argos has an Indiana Public Employee Plan (IPEP) through Anthem.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted that the policy was expected to increase so officials weighed other options. After seeing what else was out there, officials came to the conclusion to keep their existing policy. You can find financial advisors through this site.

They voted unanimously to extend the current plan and stated that employees will only be responsible for paying 10 percent of the premium.

Mullaney along with ERISA claims lawyers located in Newport Beach said that their health insurance policy includes dental, vision and life insurance. She noted that the benefits are widely appreciated by employees and that the plan serves as a good hiring tool when people are considering working for the Town of Argos.

She shared that for a single person, the deductible is $250 and the annual out-of-pocket maximum is $1,000. For a family, the deductible is $750 and the annual out-of-pocket $2,000. She noted that prescription costs count toward an employee’s deductible.

Mullaney added that after the out-of-pocket maximum is reached, 100 percent is covered by the Town but until that point the co-insurance is 80/20.
