Marshall County Treasurer Announces Fall Property Tax Collection Information

Marshall County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier reminds residents that the second installment of property tax bills is due Tuesday, Nov. 12. 

Payments may be mailed to the Treasurer’s Office, but they must be postmarked by the postal service by Nov. 12.  If a receipt is desired, enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your payment.

In-office payments are accepted in Room 206 in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.  The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Extended hours are offered on Friday, Nov. 8 and Tuesday, Nov. 12 until 6 p.m.  The office will be open on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon for payment collection.  After-hours payments may be made in the drop box on the south end of the County Building.

The County Building is closed on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day and Monday, Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day. 

TCU branches and First Merchants Bank in Bourbon will collect payments beginning Oct. 29, and taxpayers in the Bremen area can drop off payments at the Bremen Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.  Payments also can be made by debit or credit card in the Treasurer’s office, online at www.co.marshall.in.us, or by phone at 1-866-480-8552.  A convenience fee will be applied.
