Marshall County Maintenance Department Looks to Completion of Lighting Project

Marshall County Maintenance Director Doug Masterson asked the county commissioners last week for guidance on how to proceed with the completion of the LED lighting project.

The commissioners signed a contract with Telemon last year to replace all of the fluorescent lighting in the county building, county highway garage and the courthouse.  Masterson said the lighting in the staircases in the County Building is not done along with lighting at highway garage.  The Circuit Court Courtroom is done, but it is delayed in the Superior Court No.1 and Superior Court No. 2 courtrooms.

Masterson said he’s gotten some complaints about the delay in the completion of the project.  Judge Dean Colvin said about half of the work is complete and urged the job to be done.

Masterson asked if he could get quotes from a local contractor to help with the dimmer switches in the courtrooms to handle “newer technology” to get the project done.
