Marshall County Council to Meet Today

The Marshall County Council members will meet this morning where EMA Director Clyde Avery will present a request to apply for a grant which bring in 50 percent of his salary. 

Community Corrections Executive Director Ward Byers will ask to apply for the Justice Partners Addictions Response Grant.  Money for this grant would fund two part-time staff members with one in the Marshall County Jail who would identify an individual at the Marshall County Jail booking area who would qualify for rehabilitation, and a Peer Recovery Specialist who would follow that individual through recovery.  Funding for training would also be provided, if approved. 

Maintenance Director Doug Masterson will discuss the need for a new boiler for the County Building. 

The council members are expected to approve ordinances adopting the Marshall County 2020 budget as well as the 2020 budget ordinance for the Marshall County Solid Waste District.  Ordinances will be presented for the Marshall County salary ordinance, job classification and compensation, job descriptions, and the maintenance plan and procedures.   

The Marshall County Council will meet this morning at 9 a.m. in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson St. in Plymouth.
