Crews working on the renovation effort at the Culver Beach Lodge are racing Mother Nature in order to get outdoor work done before the winter season.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist gave an update to the town council members last week who said they hope to have that work done by the end of this week.
Park Superintendent Amber Cowell said from that point they will move to interior work. She said interior demolition is nearly complete which includes the second floor walls, half counter tops on the main floor and the bathrooms. The interior design aspects have been chosen and everything is on schedule so far.
Previously, Leist said the major focus of the renovation includes updating the plumbing and electrical fixtures (Shower regrouting melbourne is excellent choice for the job), reworking the main level floor plan to create a larger gathering space, and enclosing a portion of the lakeside balcony to make all three levels of the building accessible by a newly constructed elevator and new stairwell.
The Town of Culver received an OCRA grant to assist with the cost of this project as part of the Stellar Communities Designation effort. Due to grant restrictions, the project deadline is March 31.
