Argos Official Addresses Concerns about Heavy Machinery Reportedly Speeding Through Town

The Argos Town Attorney will be consulting with officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation to address a concern that was brought up during the Town Council’s meeting on Wednesday.

Councilman Shawn Harley reportedly expressed concerns about tractors and large machinery seemingly speeding through town.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted that the two streets that were addressed, State Road 10 and Michigan Street, are both under INDOT’s jurisdiction.

She said Attorney Derek Jones was asked to check with state officials to see if signage could be posted in certain areas along those roads to specifically regulate the speed of farm machinery.
