The Triton Elementary School Robotics Club had a productive introductory meeting this week.
During Tuesday’s meeting, club members were informed about rules and expectations as well as specifics surrounding this season’s game.
In addition to participating in the regular season during the school year, which runs from September through March, 4th and 5th-grade students interested in robotics had the chance to attend a summer camp in June. There, they were able to establish teams for the 2019-2020 game, work on engineering notebooks and get a head start on designing and building.
One way the Triton School Corporation has shown support for this program is by including a spacious area dedicated to robotics competitions in the new Triton Activities Center.
Program representative Jenny Mevis shared that the first competition will be held on Saturday, October 12th. She also noted that they’re currently seeking judges and team leaders.
If you’re interested in getting involved, send an email to jmevis@triton.k12.in.us or reach out to officials through the T.E.S Robotics Facebook group.
