Get a First Glance Inside the Triton Activities Center This Thursday

Triton School officials are excited to announce that they’ve reached substantial completion on the new Activities Center and community members are invited to come take a look this Thursday!

Last April, school board members, administrators and project officials joined together for a groundbreaking ceremony at the site where the new auxiliary gym was going to be constructed.

Just a little over a year later, they’re ready to show off the new facility to the community.

The Triton Activities Center Open House will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd.

School Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said that a lot of time and effort has been put into this making this facility something the community will be proud of for many years to come.

In a recent social media post, Riffle shared that the Activities Center will serve as the home for all of the daily Jr./Sr. High School P.E. classes, it will be a place for Jr. High volleyball and basketball competitions and the extra space will allow for efficient and student-friendly practice schedules.

Riffle explained that the facility includes a batting cage for indoor hitting, a new wrestling room and plenty of space for robotics competitions.

He added that while they have a lot of great things planned for the building, he knows it has the potential to provide many other opportunities that school officials haven’t thought of yet.

Superintendent Riffle thanked the Triton Community for their support in making this project possible and helping build something great together.
