Bids were to be opened for the demolition of the old Clarke gas station at 400 E. Jefferson Street in Plymouth during Monday’s Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, but that was postponed.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi told the board members that he sought quotes from a few demolition contractors concerning that property, but an on-site meeting will be held to discuss the project further on Oct. 7. The board members are expected to open demolition bids during their meeting on Monday, Oct. 14.
The building has been sitting vacant for quite some time and the board members affirmed the action of demolition in a meeting in August.
