New Bremen Police Officer Sworn into Service

Newly hired Bremen police officer Trent Miles was sworn into service Thursday afternoon.

Bremen Police Chief Brad Kile said Miles will begin work today although he still has to attend the Indiana Police Academy.  He will be attending training at the beginning of the year.  When that training concludes in April, Kile said Miles will be able to be out on solo patrol in June.

Miles has been trained as a reserve officer so he does have arrest powers.  He also has 40 hours of pre-basic training experience.
