Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District Coordinator Debbie Palmer will be leaving the office in November.
She asked the county council members last week for permission for an additional appropriation of $3,059 to help the new hire with training.
Palmer said the opening has been advertised and several resumes are being reviewed. The board members were to go through resumes last week during their regular meeting.
The council members approved the additional appropriation request with a unanimous vote.
